Why is the actual liq slightly different on exchanges?
Exchanges add funding rate accrual + insurance fund margin + tier-based MM. Use this as a conservative estimate; subtract another 1–2%.
Should I use isolated or cross margin?
Isolated caps your loss to position margin. Cross uses your whole wallet. Beginners should use isolated.
What leverage is safe?
There is no 'safe' leverage. Risk-adjust position size so that distance-to-liq is at least 3× your typical stop-loss distance.
