What is a halving?
A halving is a programmed reduction in the block reward miners receive for adding a new block to the chain. Bitcoin halves roughly every 4 years, slowing the rate at which new BTC enters circulation. Historically, halvings have preceded major price expansion cycles.
Why multiple coins?
Most countdown sites cover only Bitcoin. We track all halving-style coins:
- BTC — Bitcoin, every 210,000 blocks (~4 years). Next: block 1,050,000 (~2028)
- LTC — Litecoin, every 840,000 blocks (~4 years)
- BCH — Bitcoin Cash, synced with BTC schedule
- ZEC — Zcash, every ~4 years
- KAS — Kaspa, gradual emission via monthly reduction
What happens to price?
No tool can predict price. Historically the 12 months after each Bitcoin halving have seen significant gains, but past performance is not a guarantee. See disclaimer.
